Replace meter box
Over time, outdoor electricity meter boxes can go through wear and tear or sustain damage. We can assist you by arranging a visit from one of our experts who will guide you on the best and safest way to repair or replace your meter box.
It's important to note that homeowners are responsible for the upkeep of their meter boxes. This means that if any maintenance or repairs are required, the homeowner will need to contact a qualified builder or electrician to complete the work on their behalf. If it's required, we can temporarily turn off the power to allow them to replace it for you.
The meter box door is broken
The meter box has been vandalised
The meter box is falling away from the wall
If you think your situation is dangerous, please stay away from the equipment and call us 24 hours a day on 0800 31 63 105 or 105 (free to call from a landline or mobile). Please do not report this online.
The homeowner owns the electricity meter box and will need to contact a qualified builder or electrician to complete the work on their behalf. We don’t own your electricity meter box so we can’t carry this work out for you. However, we're happy to arrange a free appointment with one of our experts who can offer advice on the best and safest way to replace it. It might be a simple fix like a broken meter box door, which can be repaired with a kit without disrupting your power supply.
