Your supplier is unable to change your electricity meter

If your electricity supplier is unable to change your electricity meter without replacing your meter board, they will need to report this to us directly using an D0135 electronic flow which will notify us.

If your meter board is severely damaged, you think it could come off the wall completely, or if you think your situation is dangerous, please stay away from the equipment and call us 24 hours a day on 0800 31 63 105 or 105 (free to call from a landline or mobile). Please do not report this online.

Who can replace your meter board?

This process of replacing your meter board will depend on the equipment it holds. If our main electricity fuse is located on your board, we can take care of the change for you. In some cases we may need a little help from your electricity supplier to remove your electricity meter and your electrician to remove your fuse box, we'll then install the new board. It's important to note if your board contains asbestos this will take longer to complete as we will need a specialist team to handle it safely.

If the board you need to replace doesn’t hold our electricity supply on it, then your electricity supplier (the company you pay your electricity bills to) will be responsible for the replacement.
