Connect a multi use building
If you own a multi-use building (for example flats above a shop or a house converted into multiple properties) and want to provide each individual tenant with their own electricity meter, it's possible that you may need to upgrade your existing electricity connection.
Most multi-use buildings typically have a three phase electricity supply which allows up to three electricity meters to be connected. If your property only has a single phase electricity supply, this may not be enough power to accommodate the change and will likely require upgrading to a three phase supply.
Need more than three meters? You would need to either install a distribution board or install an additional electricity connection.
If you're installing up to three additional electricity meters, you may need to upgrade your electricity supply from a standard single phase supply to a three phase supply which can hold 100amps per phase.
