Disconnect an electricity meter

Disconnect

If you need to disconnect your electricity meter, you will need to contact your electricity supplier (the company who you pay your electricity bills to) to complete the work. This is because they legally own the meter, therefore only they can disconnect and remove it for you.

Customers typically need this when:
Meter

Moving out of a property and therefore no longer want to be charged for an electricity bill

Building renovation

Renovating a property and want the electricity meter removed temporarily or permanently

Only your electricity supplier can disconnect and remove your electricity meter for you.
